History
It is said that the stingrays likely started to gather at this spot as fishermen returning from excursions anchored just inside the channel to clean their catch. The rays would feed on the guts and discarded bait, eventually associating the sound of boat engines with food.
In the 80’s divers started to feed the rays with squid and thus Stingray City was born.
